About the Role
Heaviside Group is a fully remote digital marketing agency that operates niche brands serving home service contractors — paving, garage doors, electrical, and more. We've been around since 2011 and we're not going anywhere. We're hiring an Account Manager to own client relationships and the onboarding setup that gets new clients live.
You're the face of Heaviside for your clients. You run the kickoff call, drive the technical onboarding (DNS, call tracking, account access, A2P, tracking integrations), and lead the ongoing review meetings. After onboarding, you stay the single point of contact and coordinate with our specialist teams — Web Manager, SEO Manager, PPC Manager, and Operations — to make sure the work is happening and the client knows what's happening.
You don't need to be the person personally building automations or running campaigns long-term. You do need to be the person who makes sure the right things get set up at the start, the right specialists are pulled in, and the work keeps moving without the client having to chase anyone.
Responsibilities
- Run client kickoff calls — onboard new clients into our systems and process
- Lead ongoing client review meetings (typically monthly) — present results, walk through next steps, manage expectations
- Be the primary point of contact for your assigned accounts — clients reach out to you first
- Coordinate with our Web, SEO, PPC, and Operations teams to keep client deliverables on track and visible
- Document client conversations and action items, and keep ClickUp updated
- Manage scope and expectations, escalate issues, and keep relationships healthy
- Get access to all of a new client's accounts — Google Business Profile, Google Ads, Meta, website, hosting, DNS, and more
- Configure phone tracking numbers in Rev Comm
- Coordinate DNS record setup the client's stack will need (hosting, email, tracking, A2P)
- Handle A2P 10DLC verification for messaging compliance
- Coordinate platform integrations and tracking setup with the right specialist team
- Confirm onboarding is wired correctly before handing off to ongoing execution
Requirements
- Prior account management experience at a digital marketing agency — you've owned client relationships before and understand the rhythm of agency client work
- Comfortable on client calls — you can lead a kickoff, present a monthly report, and keep your composure when a client is unhappy
- Technically literate enough to gather DNS access, set up call-tracking numbers, manage account access, and handle messaging compliance — you don't need to write automations, but you understand what the platforms do and can navigate them confidently
- Strong project coordination — you can hand work to specialists, track it, and follow up without dropping the ball
- Actively uses AI tools daily — ChatGPT, Claude, or similar — to draft content, troubleshoot, and accelerate work. If you're not already using AI daily, this isn't the right fit.
- Detail-oriented and follow-through-oriented — clients notice when things slip, and we don't want them to
- Can manage your own time and priorities without daily check-ins
- Reliable internet and a quiet workspace — fully remote, we use Slack, ClickUp, and HubStaff
- Available during US business hours for client calls and team communication
- United States applicants only
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with GoHighLevel
- Familiarity with A2P 10DLC registration
- DNS troubleshooting comfort — records, propagation, hosting cutovers
- Experience managing accounts in the home services / contractor space
